Their mission is to support the industry's ability to meet the aspirations of Canadians for housing affordability\, quality and choice. \n\n \n\nPaige Karczynski Executive Director\, Nanaimo Community Hospice Society\n\nNanaimo Hospice is a pillar in the Nanaimo community actively advocating for a future where every person and their loved ones can access the finest standards of hospice palliative care at end of life in a timely manner with compassion\, comfort and dignity. \n\n \n\nIn 2021\, Nanaimo Community Hospice Society celebrated 40 years in the community offering skilled\, compassionate support\, education and advocacy for those living with advanced illness\, dying and bereavement. Nanaimo Hospice believes that everyone struggling with these challenges regardless of age\, means or culture deserves support. With compassion and dignity\, our volunteers and professional staff offer free programs\, resources\, and education to our community where and when needed.\n\n\n\nWe are excited to share that we are undertaking our largest fundraising initiative to date\, our Dream Home Lottery! The proceeds from this lottery will allow Nanaimo Community Hospice to expand it's current programs which are in high demand and consistently have waiting lists. Additionally\, it will allow NCHS to establish a foundation that will support the future of building a stand-alone\, residential hospice that is highly needed in the Nanaimo community. \n\n\n\nHere is your chance to help make a difference. We together can help our community heal after experiencing a loss of a loved one through death. We are working hard to set up the modes of support for our community as we face Covid-19. But we can't do it alone.
