About the Event: Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools Superintendent and CEO Robyn Gray will share how NLPS is working to build a community of connection and belonging that supports student and staff well-being and leads to improved outcomes for all students across the district.
Robyn Gray, Superintendent and CEO, Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools
Robyn Gray has served as Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools' (NLPS) superintendent and chief executive officer since November 2024. Prior to NLPS, Robyn was Cowichan Valley School District's (CVSD) superintendent of schools for five years and spent twenty-five years with Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools before joining CVSD. Robyn holds a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Victoria, a Bachelor of Education with a focus on Indigenous and Inclusive Education from Nipissing University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Laurentian University.
Robyn previously held the roles of vice-principal, principal, district principal- Aboriginal Education, and assistant superintendent- Director of Instruction with NLPS. She is known for her passion for creating structures to assist vulnerable learners, including initiatives that directly supported childcare, literacy, and numeracy. Throughout her career Robyn has been a strong voice for reconciliation action, both through lived experience and through building strong relationships with local Indigenous communities.
